This autumn, 18-year-old Ayaan Ali will begin his studies at Riga Business School, pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Ayaan has already shown remarkable initiative, determination and a desire to make the most of every opportunity. Now, with the right support, he has the opportunity to take the next step toward his dream of building a career in finance and contributing to Latvia's business community.
A journey of resilience and determination
Ayaan moved from Pakistan to Latvia when he was nine years old. Starting over in a new country meant learning a new language, adapting to a different culture and education system, and building a new life.
Those experiences shaped him. They taught him resilience, adaptability and the confidence to embrace new challenges. Today, Latvia is home.
Throughout high school, Ayaan has actively looked for opportunities to learn and grow beyond the classroom.
He has:
Founded and led his school's Debate Club
Completed the Greenhouse Programme in entrepreneurship and business
Completed two Future Changemakers Academy programmes at Riga Business School
Worked on real business challenges alongside industry professionals
Developed programming skills in Python, C# and JavaScript
Gained valuable work experience in customer service
Developed strong communication and leadership skills
Learned to communicate across multiple languages and cultures
These experiences have helped Ayaan become not only a strong student, but a young person who takes responsibility, seeks out challenges and looks for ways to contribute.
His dream
Ayaan's long-term goal is to build a career in finance and contribute to the development of Latvia's business community.
He hopes to use the knowledge and experience he gains at Riga Business School to create value for businesses, support innovation and make a positive contribution to society.
